You may be wondering, what is mindfulness? 

It can be defined as paying attention, moment by moment, non-judgementally, and everyone can do it. If you can breathe, you can practice mindfulness! Mindfulness helps to allow each moment to be just as it is. Through this allowing awareness, a transformation takes place that is both healing and nourishing. By regularly practising mindfulness meditation a person can observe one's reactions to life stressors and meet it in a different way. This is stress reduction through mindfulness.

It's a long video, but worth watching if you want to know what mindfulness, meditation and MBSR are all about. Kabat-Zinn is Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. MBCT was developed from MBSR.
